Fashion for this fall-winter season goes back to the 2000s. Britney Spears’ sporty-glam-sexy style will be more and more visible on the street now. The trends for the cold season were spotted at the virtual fashion shows in the fashion month organized between February 15 and March 10, 2021.

Fashion nowadays reflects the color of the difficult times we live in. The trends presented are in fact the duality of our actions and feelings, divided between home and the desire to travel, between dinner at home with some close friends and the club, between nostalgia for good times and change. Thus, on the catwalks were presented quilted coats and dresses, clothes that mimic tapestries and prints reminiscent of flannel blankets. There were also shown mini cropped dresses, metallic boots, suits with jackets, and skirts.

So keep in mind that after almost 7 years of pastels, fashion now returns to saturated colors, much richer and more intense than in previous years.

Here are 7 of the new trends for the fall-winter season of 2022.

Durable boots

These boots are made for walking. The boots of the season are stunning, and the thicker the sole, the better. Seen on the runways of Prada and Bottega Veneta, they are perfect for dresses with a floral print.

Oversized tailoring

There has been a lot of talks this month about “going back to the office” and what it means for our closets. If you want to be in the office again, but are reluctant to give up the comfort that the last 18 months have offered, the slouchy blazer is perfect. It can be worn with pleated pants and a silk shirt, or with jeans and a T-shirt.

Shiny jewelry

It’s time to shine in glamorous cocktail dresses at night and sequins with knitwear during the day – or simply wear the brightest accessories you can find.

Knitted dresses

Autumn thoughts turn into comfortable warm wool knitwear. A long-sleeved knitted dress is the perfect piece of wardrobe. Wear it with a pair of over-the-knee boots for extra glam.

Silk scarves

A silk scarf is the fastest update this season. Wear one around your head, as seen on Versace, or tied around your neck, as in the new Gossip Girl TV series.

Indigo denim

Denim returns to its roots with indigo shades at Hermès, Christian Dior, and Vivienne Westwood. The jeans are high-waisted and exaggerated. They wear wide models, with a straight and baggy cut. Or look for a jumpsuit or a dress. Wear them with a quilted jacket and boots.

Gloves

Add a colorful glove that enhances the mood, to give an optimistic look to the outfit. Or maybe choose a pair of gloves with an interesting print.
